Message from the Tohoku University Tadokoro, Ohno, Takeuchi/Konyo Laboratory

As of the end of March 2025, Professor Satoshi Tadokoro has retired from the Graduate School of Information Sciences. Consequently, the "Human-Robot Informatics" field in the Department of Applied Information Sciences has been discontinued. Professors Konyo and Ohno have now established the following two new laboratories and are continuing their educational and research activities. Each laboratory is now recruiting students independently.

Additionally, as of April 2025, Professor Tadokoro is continuing his research activities as a Designated Professor at the Tohoku University Tough Cyberphysical AI Research Center.

Tadokoro Lab massage

Our laboratory was newly born April 2005 and we are working for USAR ( urban area search and rescue robots) and information system for disaster prevention. The integration of robotic technology and other key technologies to improve the quarity of life is also our scope, including virtual reality and 3D vision system.
